Initiation U4 to U6 (2017 to 2019)

This program introduces the basics of soccer. It focuses on the discovery of the sport and the various possibilities it offers. This program will help the child become aware of his or her abilities while having fun in a safe environment. The objective of this program is to allow children to learn fundamental motor skills such as running, jumping and hitting an object. This program is an initiation and not a specific learning period for soccer. The emphasis is on the individual development of the child.

Evaluation: No formal evaluation. The goal is to encourage all children to continue.
Retroaction: Feedback report provided at the end of the program or block.
Summer season: 18 weeks divided into 3 blocks of 6 weeks. One 60 minute session per week.
Winter season: 14 weeks. One session per week of 60 minutes.

Program U7 to U8 (2016 & 2015)

This program introduces the basics of soccer. It focuses on the discovery of the sport and the various opportunities it offers. This program will help the child become aware of his or her abilities while having fun in a safe environment. The objective of this program is to introduce children to the specific skills of the sport of soccer. This program is a second step in learning motor skills and a first step in learning technical skills.

Evaluation: An evaluation form is completed, but the goal is to encourage all players to continue.
Retroaction: A feedback report is provided at the end of each program.
Summer season: 20 weeks with 1, 2 or 3 sessions per week of 90 minutes.
Winter season: 16 weeks, 1 or 2 sessions per week of 60 minutes.

Expected results
Understanding of the role of the opponent and the partner
Understanding of the status; “My team has the ball” and “My team does not have the ball”. Initiation to the basis of the 5 player collective (notion of diamond play)
Maximizing contact time with the ball (falling in love with the ball)

Physical
Agility, Coordination, Balance, Liveliness

Technico-tactic
Development of basic techniques. Learning to collaborate with a partner in a game context.

Emotional-Social
Increase confidence with the ball and be comfortable playing with partners (Fun, cooperation, Respect).

Mental and Decision Making
Develop knowledge of the game and basic decision making (Understanding, Confidence and Awareness).

 

Program U9 to U10 (2014 & 2013)

This program introduces the basics of soccer. It focuses on discovering the sport and encouraging individual decision making to improve understanding of the game. Continue to focus on the fun and pure enjoyment of the game to maintain participation. The primary objective of this program is to enable young players to develop their individual potential to the fullest. It is also a phase in which the young players are introduced to the club’s game model; game principles, game phases and game zones. Individual development is prioritized during this program.

Evaluation: An evaluation form is completed, but the goal is to encourage all players to continue.
Retroaction: A feedback report is provided at the end of each program.
Summer season: 20 weeks with 1, 2 or 3 sessions per week of 90 minutes.

Consolidation of basic technical skills (driving, dribbling, passing, controlling and shooting) Learning of the principles of play related to the club’s game model
Introduction to the basics of the collective game with 7 and 9 players; lines, team blocks, spaces, etc… Emphasis on the 4 phases of the game (defensive organization, defensive transition, offensive organization, offensive transition).

Technico-tactical
Development of basic skills, emphasizing ball contact and ball control for each player. Continue to improve passing, receiving, dribbling and shooting, improve game awareness and individual decision making

To increase confidence with the ball and the ability to play with partners (fun, teamwork, respect, relationships with partners).

Mental & Decision Making
Develop game awareness and decision making. (Self-confidence, risk assessment, resilience, critical thinking).

Consolidation des gestes techniques de base (Conduite, dribble, passe, contrôle et tir) Apprentissage des principes de jeu reliés au modèle de jeu du club
Initiation aux bases du jeu collectif à 7 et à 9 joueurs; Lignes, bloc équipes, espaces, etc…Emphase sur les 4 phases de jeu (organisation défensive, transition défensive, organisation offensive, transition offensive).

Période optimale pour travailler la vitesse et la flexibilité

Technico-tactique
Consolider le développement des habiletés acquises.
Techniques travaillées dans un contexte de jeux réduits et sous forme jouée.
Apprendre à collaborer avec un petit groupe de joueur (Défendre, marquer, et jeu de transition).

Émotionelle-sociale
Apprendre à travailler et communiquer avec ses partenaires. Responsabilité, plaisir, respect, évaluation du risque.

Mental et prise de décision
Développer la motivation personnelle par le plaisir de jouer dans un environnent sécuritaire. Avoir l’esprit critique, confiance en soi, résilience, évaluation du risque et prise de décision.
